Mohamed Adan Farah

Prof. Mohamed Adan Farah (Awsey) is Vice-Chancellor of Academics at Puntland University of Science and Technology. His passion for academic excellence and research that creates value and opportunities for staff, students and the broader community led him to become chancellor in 2019.

Dr. Awsey was born in Beletwein, Somalia. In addition to holding a degree in engineering from Somali National University (SNU), he served as a member of the faculty at SNU’s Faculty of Engineering. Additionally, he has a Master’s Degree in Financial Management and a second Master’s Degree in Technology from Arizona State University. Currently, he is preparing for a Ph.D. in Engineering Management and Technology.
