Duncan Amadi
Duncan Amadi is a senior lecturer of English and has a wealth of experience teaching the English Language for over 15 years. He is one of the pioneers and implementers of the English Language program dubbed Intensive English Program Course at East Africa University, Galkaio, in 2009. His input, provision of relevant materials and a clear roadmap for the English course program enabled its successful implementation and continuation not only in Galkaio Campus but also in the Main constituent campuses in Bosaso and Garowe.
In addition, he has played critical roles in reviewing various English-related literature in multiple institutions and local and international NGOs managed by Somalis, the latest being formulating HRM Policies for PUST and Review of Form 3 Business Studies Student’s book from Puntland State Ministry of Education. Furthermore, he has conducted several pieces of training for local staff working with U.N. agencies like UNICEF, EDC, and CARE International, among others, in Report Writing and Proposal Writing. In addition, he was part of a team that implemented the Promotion of Employment through Training (PETT) program in Puntland.
He holds B.Ed and M.Ed in Language (English) from M.U and K.U, respectively. He is passionate about teaching and equipping young people with the knowledge and skills they desperately yearn for to deal with the current dynamics of the job market and life. He specializes in English Language and Business Studies (Accounting). In addition, he often participates in teacher training programs at PUST and trains students on Research methodology.
